Barbara Taylor Barb's Cancer Journey

Hello!  Welcome to Barbara Ann Coleman Taylor's CaringBridge site. We created this page to share updates about Barb’s diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer –and more importantly – to provide a place for family and friends to write words of encouragement and support as she continues this challenging journey.  **Please be sure to sign the guestbook :)

If you’re reading this, you may already know that my Mom was recently diagnosed with cancer after finding a large tumor in her right breast.  The type of cancer she has is considered ‘aggressive’ – which means it is fast growing, and will spread to other parts of her body if given a chance, so chemotherapy must be started *before* she has surgery to make sure it doesn’t spread anywhere else.

Over the past few crazy weeks, Barb has bravely endured multiple tests to help determine her chances for a cure - as well as identifying the best options for treatment.  We are thankful and very relieved to share that these tests have confirmed that the cancer has NOT spread to her lymph nodes, or anywhere else at this time!  (whew!)

Although her chances for a cure are high, Barb’s treatment will include intensive Chemotherapy through the end of this year, and eventually surgery, so continued support and positive energy from those who know and/or love her will be extremely important and very much appreciated!

On behalf of my Mom and my sisters and brothers (Angela,Tasha, Dan and Matt)… Thanks so much for taking the time to visit this page and for all of your support
