On November 11, 2017, Dad was in a car accident.  He had his spleen removed,  his bladder repaired and broke three ribs.   During a scan for his injuries, the doctors found Stage 4 lung cancer.   Dad tried radiation and didnt feel it was helping so the next step was moving to Murray County Hospice, 36 Park DR, Slayton, MN 56172.  He is much more relaxed and content at the hospice cottage than he was in the hospital.  He really enjoys the view from his window and reading books.


Mom has been in the Good Samaritan Nursing Home, 1311 Hiawatha Ave, Pipestone, MN 56164 for some time now with her dementia. She has been doing well but it's like she knows what is going on with Dad and her health has significantly declined in the time since Dad's accident so she has begun receiving hospice care also.
