Welcome to our CaringBridge site. The last few days since Monday have been a blur, but we wanted to share this journey with the ones my mother touched.  There are so many of you and how can we make all those phone calls? She was working on a puzzle called The Tree of Life.  It is a very difficult puzzle, she and others finished all the edges and most of the obvious sections, but the middle needs completion. Is that not the truth for all of us? Mom has tremendous patience honed over the many years she has been climbing her tree of life.
One of her favorite projects is called Committee on Teaching About the United Nations (CTAUN).  They hold a meeting every year to teach teachers about the United Nations. In fact, the Center owes its very existence to her efforts.
Her other project, and one she shared with her husband, Robert G. Walker, was the World Federalist Movement, a global citizen's to advocate an international federalist government.  See wfm-igp.org. If you would like to do something to honor Barbara send CTAUN something and tell them it comes because of her. See TeachUN.Org. You can send a check made out to CTAUN to Anne-Marie Carlson, 3 Linwood Place, White Plains NY 10606.
If you would like to honor both Barbara and Bob, send something to the World Federalist Movement.  Both organizations will very much appreciate it, as neither are in style right now. Both are non-profit organizations.
