On Friday afternoon, March 18 mom was exhibiting signs of weakness and extreme fatigue. Dad sent her home and checked on her 20 minutes later to find her speech was slurred. He immediately called the ambulance which brought her to Sioux Center Hospital. The doctors checked her out and everything seemed fine. They were going to discharge her until she showed symptoms of a stroke - slurred speech and weakness in her limbs. They decided to transfer her immediately to SIoux Falls for further testing and diagnosis. That night everything was fine. She talked on the phone with everyone but by Saturday morning she had an official stoke. The doctors were finally able to locate a blockage in the upper left portion of the brain. They moved her to the Nuero ICU where they could monitor her more closely.

Thank you for all the love and support.  If you like, please leave well wishes and we will read them to her through out her day for encouragement!
We will try to update as we can.
