September 9, 2016 On August 29th, Barbara went to the ER with abdominal pain that she had been experiencing and treating for about a month. After a CT scan and multiple other tests, the initial diagnosis was cancer. The CT scan showed a mass on her pancreas and 2 masses on her liver. We quickly found an oncologist and began the process. After more blood work, an extensive appointment, and a procedure to drain over 4 liters of fluid from her abdomen, the initial diagnosis was confirmed. She has stage 4 pancreatic cancer that has metastasized to her liver. Barbara will have a port placed soon and will begin chemotherapy treatment next week. She is maintaining a positive outlook, and trusting that God is always in control. Prayers are appreciated!
