Barbara was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in June of this year. Her tumor is inoperable because of its size and location and has metastasized to her liver. Since receiving this diagnosis, we've learned that many pancreatic cancer patients have similar stories; this cancer is particularly hard to detect, with few side effects until it reaches late stages. While this news was obviously very difficult for us to digest, Barbara our 2 sons Tres, Chris and I have been so encouraged and touched by the generosity, prayers and continued support of family members, friends, neighbors and coworkers who heard of her diagnosis. Barbara is a strong woman, and with support from her “Army of praying Angels”, she will take a strong stand on the fight to defeat cancer! I am proud to be a part of #TEAMBARBARA

Barbara is receiving amazing care at Duke University Hospital, overseen by an oncologist who specializes in pancreatic and liver cancer and is top of her field.  At the recommendation of her doctors, Barbara will begin treatment for this illness in the near future. This website is designed to be a place where we can update Barbara's many supporters about her treatment and overall health.

Barbara is so appreciative for all your prayers, healing thoughts, acts of kindness and support!

Thanks for being a part of her life!
