Barbara is critically ill and currently a patient at VCU in the ICU. She is diagnosed with end stage COPD and recently with Encephalitis and Pneumonia.



Due to these conditions CO2 has built up in her blood requiring a ventilator to alleviate it from her system.  The goal is to get her off the ventilator.
