Our fight against pancreatic cancer started April 4, 2018. Briefly I had surgery to remove the tumor but it was unsuccessful. The next step was 12 chemo treatments. Surgery, a Whipple procedure was done 9/12/18. The tumor was completely removed. 6 more chemo treatments were done as a clean up.  A CT scan first week of January showed some micro spots. I was given the ok to go to AZ. We enjoyed 5 weeks out there.  I was in the ER twice.  CTs showed the tumors were growing. The pain was getting worse so we came home. The port was infected and removed I finally got an appointment at M D Anderson March 1. I will be getting a new chemo for metastatic pancreatic cancer.  Surgery and radiation are not options.
Next Monday March 11  they will put in a new port and start treatments ASAP.
