At our 20 week ultrasound Paul and I found out at that our baby has a lot of medical concerns. The baby has a significant heart defect, only 1 functioning kidney, problems with the umbilical cord and uncertainty with the spine and stomach. Any one of these concerns is upsetting but with them all together it adds a lot of questions and complications. To which we, simply put, do not have answers. We have been referred for many tests, ultrasounds and consultations with high-risk doctors and specialists that we are working to navigate. This week has brought us a lot of confusion, sadness and mental/physical/emotion exhaustion. As we continue process what we have (and equally what we have not) been told we find ourselves overwhelmed. We appreciate all thoughts, prayers and support during this time. We will update as we can and as quickly as we are able process the information we are given.

On a positive note the baby is an excellent weight, good length, brain looks good, perfect arms, legs and face. Our baby does not stop moving and gave everyone a real challenge for photos and videos.
