Ada Hope Scheiblin

Ada Hope Scheiblin was born on 6/26/21 at 12:35am 8 lbs. 5 oz. and 19.8 inches. As many of you know, Ada has a rare heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). This means that the left side of her heart, which should pump blood to her body, did not develop properly. She will need three surgeries to gradually reroute her circulation. Eventually the healthy right side of her heart, which would normally pump blood to her lungs, will pump blood to her body instead. The first surgery was a few days after she was born, the second will happen when she's 4-6 months old, and the third when she's 2-4 years old. These will be some rocky times, but after all that we hope she'll be much healthier.

We've started this page to keep you all updated on Ada's progress. Thank you all so much for your well wishes and help. Your support has really helped us at an incredibly difficult time.
