Kamryn Ruth Abbott Baby Kamryn

On Thursday, July 13, 2017, Lisa was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia at 25 weeks of pregnancy and was admitted to the hospital hoping to give our baby girl as much time as possible to develop in the womb.  However, on Monday, July 17, 2017, with the baby's heart rate repeatedly decelerating and Lisa's blood pressure increasing, the doctor's had to perform the C-section and bring Kamryn Ruth into the world weighing 1lb 5.8oz and measuring 11 3/4 in - 15 weeks premature.

Kamryn is currently being treated in the NICU at Memorial Hermann Hospital - Memorial City.  She is expected to stay there until the end of October, and while her first week has gone very well, there is still a long road ahead.  We have set up this website to allow friends and family to come along with us and Kamryn on this journey with all of its ups and downs.
