Stephanie and I would like to announce that we are expecting twin babies June 10, 2017. The babies are fraternal, one boy and one girl. Our baby boy is healthy and growing as expected. Our hearts are saddened to reveal that our baby girl has been diagnosed with Trisomy 18. Trisomy 18 is a chromosomal abnormality in which the cells of the body carry an extra 18th chromosome and that occurs with random frequency. Children with Trisomy 18 have abnormalities in many parts of the body caused by the third 18 chromosome. Due to the severity of the abnormalities many of the children die before birth or within the first month. We ask for your continued prayers that both babies carry full term to protect the health of both our little boy and girl.
As you can imagine, there will be good days and there will be bad days. There will be days when we feel comfortable talking about progress and days where we won’t want to talk at all. We ask for your sensitivity toward our privacy. We will do our best to post updates and details on this site as we know more information so our friends and family can follow our journey.
