Baby Alita here and this is my story. -Mommy woke up at 5am on Jan 27 with severe abdominal pain. Little did she know that our lives would forever be changed. We arrived at the hospital around 9am and the doctors started running tests on mommy. They tested for covid, kidney stones, gallbladder stones, etc, not knowing that all this time I was fighting for survival. Doctors thought mommy appendix burst so around 5pm we finally went into surgery. -My journey of life was about to begin. Mommy's abruption was severe and she lost alot of blood. I entered this world 7lbs 15ounces but I was not breathing. Doctors performed extensive resuscitation and I was Life flighted in a fancy helicopter to Toledo Hospital. Before my trip my daddy came to see me and told me that I was beautiful and that I was going to be ok. I squeezed his finger to let him know I was fighting. I started to have seizures so Doctors hooked me up to this awesome cooling machine that brought my body temp down to 92 degrees in order to prevent further brain damage. Mommy received 4 bags of blood and an iron infusion because of her abruption. She fought just like me and is going to be ok. -Mommy and Daddy will finally be able to visit me soon and I can't wait to see them 😊 -Follow me on my journey of life.
