Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Our daughter, Ava Rose Schaefer, is awaiting a double liver/kidney transplant due to her rare liver disorder called Primary Hyperoxaluria Type 1 (PH1). While we have been aware of this condition since she was an infant, events over the course of the last 5 weeks have hastened her need for transplantation. We appreciate you keeping Ava in your thoughts and prayers.
