Dear Family, Friends, Prayer Warriors and Concerned Connections,

We thought seeing our beloved Cub’s win the world series was the most surreal thing we would experience this week.

However, with broken and saddened hearts we have experienced the most surreal moment you will ever experience as a parent.

After some astute observation by Ava’s teachers, we were informed that she was demonstrating some notable neurologic signs.  We promptly took her to Delnor ER.  A CT scan demonstrated a lesion in her brain stem.  We were transferred to Lurie’s Children’s Hospital.

We have been completely touched by the out pouring of love and support from all of you.

What we know now is that Ava has a tumor in her brain stem and we are facing a major up hill battle.  WE NEED A MIRICLE! Please, please, please pray hard.  We know God can move mountains.  We are begging he can move this one!

We understand that you’re concerned and appreciate your displays of love.  Please keep them coming.  Please understand that we need time to gather information, discern God’s will and decide what is best for our family.  Therefore, updates will be sent out in a similar format.

Thank you in advance to all of you who will join us in prayer and for your future support.

Keep Praying!

In Love,

Ken, Jodi, Max and Ava!
