As many of you know miss Ava was born prematurely & later diagnosed with spastic triplegia type cerebral palsy. After just over 3 years of physical & occupational therapy, Botox, & oral medication she has come a long way! Last summer we visited Shriners hospital  & Gillette Children's in Minneapolis for an evaluation of what treatment options would be next. After months of comprehensive evaluation & consideration we decided surgery as the best option. Ava will be having Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy April 27th.  We appreciate any prayers and words of encouragement, as this surgery requires a very intense rehabilitation schedule. Although this is not a "corrective"  procedure, it should greatly impact her day to day function & potentially reduce the need for further interventions.
