Welcome to my CaringBridge website. I've set this up as a way for others to reach out to me as your support has always meant so much.
Less than 3 weeks ago I went for a routine mammogram that showed a "shadow". This lead to a biopsy and a week ago I found out that I have a diagnosis of breast cancer. I have no symptoms and feel well. The cancer is very small, and my prognosis is excellent! I will be having surgery (lumpectomy) on Monday, June 29, and then after a month I will have 3 weeks of daily radiation treatments. So I get to hang out for the summer by the water at my home and at the beach cottage.
