On Monday, November 6, Ash played at a fundraiser at the Hi Lo Lounge. Shortly after his set, he was found collapsed and unresponsive. He received CPR immediately and was rushed to Athens Regional Hospital, where he remained for several days, receiving care in the CICU. Ash passed on to his next life at home on Saturday, November 11, 2017.
