Dear Family, Friends and Business Partners,
Sonny and I recently became members of a club no parent wants to be part of. "Your child has cancer."
These are four words no parent ever wants to hear. Yet every day in the United States, one in eight women are diagnosed with Breast Cancer, some even under the age of 18.
On May 9th of this year, our 36-year-old daughter, Ashley, was one of them. It's impossible to be prepared for this kind of diagnosis. We are surviving by taking one day at a time.
Luckily we have a huge support network of family, friends, church and community members.
Our Ashley has two children, Braden age 15 and Keegan age 4. As on now surgery is not an option.
She has begun chemotherapy with eight rounds prior to a pending surgery since her cancer is aggressive and also in the lymph nodes.
After surgery she will face more rounds of chemo along with radiation.
While Ashley does have insurance, there are costs involved that are not covered under her current policy and her out of pocket expenses are mounting.
Unfortunately, this has put a bit of a strain on her family.
Ashley is the sole owner of Mandeville Jazzercise since 2004 and works as the office manager of Fleur DeLA Imports.
