Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Dear Family and Friends,
I am reaching out to you and asking that you hold us up in your prayers at this time.

As many of you know our daughter, Ashley, has been in a health battle for over two years now. At this point her kidneys have failed and she has been on dialysis since April. We have prayed for the Lord to heal her and to give us wisdom as to what He would have her do. After years of prayer and trusting in Him, we believe now that God has chosen a kidney transplant to be her pathway of healing.

On November 1, my wife, Donna, will be donating a kidney and they will transplant that kidney into Ashley. We are so thankful for this opportunity since only 1 in 100 parents are a match and can donate to their children. After a blood transfusion, the probability of a match is even lower than that and Ashley has had three this past summer alone.

The Lord has been so faithful to us during this very difficult time and we continue to trust Him now. We are thankful for the wonderful doctors that He has led us to but know that our trust must be in Him.

The scriptures declare that the effectual and fervent prayers of the righteous accomplish great things. So, I write to ask that each of you take time to pray for my family and me. I believe in prayer and know that the Lord hears us and moves on the requests that we bring. The more people that pray the better off we are.

I'd like to thank each of you who have continually prayed for us throughout these years. I know that your prayers have held us up and kept us moving forward.

Please agree with us as we pray for the following things ...
1.     Supernatural wisdom for doctors
2.     God's presence in the surgery rooms, recovery rooms, and hospital rooms
3.     All surgical procedures and treatments to go well
4.     Ashley's 100% acceptance of the new kidney
5.     No need for dialysis post-transplant
6.     No negative side effects of the anti-rejection medications
7.     No infections for either Donna or Ashley
8.     Fast and quick recuperation
9.     Good and restful sleep
10. Peace and strength for Ashley, Donna, and Pastor Luis
11. Salvation of the doctors and nurses on transplant teams and departments
12. That God would be glorified in all of this

We love you all.       Pastor Luis Rodriguez
