Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.  I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in April 2017.  The disease is not curable but life can be extended with consolidation chemo followed by a bone marrow transplant, then lifetime chemo maintenance.  I fully intend to keep up my life habit of breaking records so I won’t go into prognosis.  But for the grace of God I nearly passed in April from a surprise Kidney failure due to light chain blood proteins the clones leave behind since their structure is deviant. 

I have responded well to the seven month chemo regime and am now heading into the hospital December 6th for a Bone Marrow Transplant to get the last of those deviant cancer clone cells.  I expect to be in the hospital for 3 weeks then recovering for a year at home.   Then .... my new future begins.
