Welcome to Asher's Caring Bridge Website. On August 1, 2019, Asher was diagnosed with bi-lateral Wilm's tumor. This is a type of pediatric cancer that shows a tumor on each kidney. As you can imagine this is a very scary time for Nadya, Mason and family. Asher immediately started chemotherapy after diagnosis and will have chemo for at least 12 weeks with the possibility of radiation. After 6 weeks of chemo the doctors will determine if the tumors are small enough to remove surgically. If they are still too big they will wait until the completion of twelve weeks of chemo.
