Art has been in and out of hospitals since mid-November, 2016.  He's moved from Central Vermont Medical Center, to UVM Medical Center, to Yale Medical Center and back again.  He has been diagnosed with a rare form of Lymphoma, residing in the blood vessels of his brain.  This has led to seizures (now well under control), some difficulty with memory, and a need for Chemo Therapy.

He has had two rounds of chemo, one at Yale in early January, and another at UVM in February, both of which led to complications (kidney damage, fever and some lung impairment), making it difficult for him to regain his strength.

At the moment he is doing well.  He's at home in Montpelier, getting PT, OT and nursing care from Central Vermont Home Health.  He is gaining back some of the weight he has lost, is eating and sleeping well, and able to get up and around the house.  As the weather warms, we hope to be back walking the streets of Montpelier!

There is more Chemo in the future, and beyond that our goal is just  to keep on getting stronger.

We have been blessed by so many friends and family who have provided love, caring and good food as we continue on this  journey.  We are so grateful to you all.
