Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Our week on Monday, June 21st started no  different than any other. Ariana said she felt little tired but nothing out of the ordinary.
On Wednesday, June 23rd she had routine visit to her primary, she complained about mouth sore, but was told to not eat salt and drink hot liquids.
On Thursday, June 24th, we went camping. She looked pale and not feeling herself, but nothing that would set up huge alarm.
On Friday, June 25th she decided to stop at Urgent Care on her way to work and see if maybe she has infection somewhere. Blood tests (her WBC counts, platelets) were very low and we were told she needs to be admitted to the hospital right away. By the evening we had our diagnosis - AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia).
After more tests following week it was discovered she has APL (Acute Promyelocytic  Leukemia) It’s a unique subtype of AML.
