Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. April was diagnosed with Stage 3A lung cancer on 12/12/16. She had a lobectomy on her right lung on 12/19/16. She impressed her doctors by making a speedy recovery and was walking laps at the hospital the night after surgery.  However, the surgery revealed that the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and she would need a course of chemotherapy and radiation. April will have four treatments of chemotherapy on 1/12, 2/2, 2/23 and 3/16 which will be followed by 5 weeks of radiation (25 tiny zaps).  Please check back here often for updates.  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
