Anthony was having some lower leg pain for a couple weeks. We took him into the local ER where they told us it was just growing pains. The pain contined, so we made an appointment with his primary DR. She ran some test and had Anthony do an X-Ray. When she got the X-Ray back she noticed that his bone was swelling. That wasnt normal so then we did an MRI. We were called not even 2 hrs after completing the MRI saying that Anthony had a mass in his leg and we were being referred to pediatric oncology. 5 days later we had our first appointment in rochester with a great team. That is when they informed us that Anthony had bone cancer. From there it was a wirewind and we took a lot of information in and was trying to process everything. So far we have done a lot of testing to confirm their diagnosis of Ewing Sarcoma. The amout of testing this poor guy has been through is just amazing. We have had a CT scan, CT scan biopsy, blood draws, CT PET Scan. That brings us to Today. We have offically been diagnosied with Ewing Sarcoma and we start Chemo.
