Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.  Thank you all for being apart of this journey in the new year and all of the support from my family and friends.

The end of 2018 was not what I had imagined for myself. In December, I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and wouldn't find out till the next few weeks what stage it was in.  After waiting 3 weeks, I have officially been diagnosed with Stage 3A lung cancer. It is at this stage due to the size and location of the tumor. Unfortunately, my cancer is not in a great location (touching my trachea), it is considered inoperable at the moment. The goal for treatment is to have chemo and radiation over the next 6-7 weeks, repeat CAT scan, then determine if the tumor has shrunk in size and able to be surgically removed.  The treatments will consist of the medications Taxol & Carboplatin which will be infused every Friday over 2-4 hours. The radiation will consist of going Monday-Friday for about 10 minutes of the day. I'm looking forward to regaining my normal life back again after all of this.
