Through a mammogram several weeks ago, I was diagnosed with triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma. It's just a lump in the road of life. I am working with amazing doctors and support staff at the UH Breast Health Center. I will be having a lumpectomy on Wednesday, May 16. Through the pre-surgery consultation I discovered that in order to find out if the cancer has spread, I will be given dye to make me blue like a smurf...photos to come. With Faith, family, love , and Humor, I plan to be back to my old self and at the lake in a jiffy. Stay tuned to see how God uses this experience.
