Our Family would like to thank everyone for your support, continued prayers, and concern for our mom and our family. In March her Congestive Heart Failure flared up and it was determined that she would need a heart transplant. While waiting for a new heart she will have an LVAD implanted. This is a device that will pump her heart for her. It's considered temporary but finding a perfect heart could take a while so she may live with this device for years. Mom was admitted to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee on May 11th to prep for this procedure. The surgery is an open heart surgery and the recovery will be a long journey. She's expected to be hospitalized for up to three months after the surgery. She is a very strong willed person so we are all hoping for a shorter hospital recovery so she can get home and recover there.
