Hello FB friends and family. I hate to do this over Facebook but there are a number of our friends that are not aware of our situation yet. Annmarie fell ill on February 28th which ended up being a liver illness. After multiple stays in the hospitals and going through every test possible they still don’t know what caused this issue. The next part is hard, Annmarie’s issue has escalated to the point that she is currently at UIC health desperately waiting for a new liver as the #1 recipient of any liver in the US matching her blood type.
We are at the critical point now waiting for this much needed liver. We have tried to reach out to as many friends and family as possible, but have come to realize that we are truly blessed to have so many willing to drop everything at a moments notice for us! Currently the girls, Annmarie’s mom and brother, and my parents have a hotel downtown to be close to us as I have turned into Grogu(I go where she goes) in terms of Annmarie. Everyone’s offers to do anything for us will be cashed in when we get through this and back home. Annmarie road to recovery can be up to 6 months to a year!
First thing is first. We need as much good luck, positive vibes, and faith that everything will line up and the right liver becomes available for Annmarie.
