Welcome to our CaringBridge website for Annmae, Skylar and Vinny Minichiello as a vehicle for sharing their story and offering coordinated support.  Many of you already know that  Skylar Mae was born on the morning of August 8th, at 36 weeks 1 day via c-section , after Annmae, with Vinny by her side, was admitted to St. Mary's hospital several days before.  Skylar, a beautiful little being with a head of dark hair,  was born healthy and strong.  The sweet and happy family returned home on Friday August 11th.   


Unexpectedly, Annmae experienced postpartum heart failure and was admitted to the ICU at St. Mary's on Saturday August 12th.  They remained in the hospital for 5 days, under the careful watch of the Family Medicine team.  Annmae's mom, Cristina, arrived in town and has been keeping watch over Skylar and dog, Shadow, at the house.  Skylar is thriving with her care and support!  Annmae was released from St. Mary's late Wednesday evening, and buoyed by the love and prayers of many family and friends, she and Vinny returned home to Skylar.  We are happily relieved and filled with joy that the family is together again.


 Annmae's recovery and cardiac rehab will continue, likely for several months.  Fortunately, Vinny will have some time away from work for a few weeks to be with her in that endeavor as well as to spend time lovingly parenting Skylar.  Vinny and Annmae welcome meal support from their many friends, which will help to increase the family's time together during these early and tender days of Skylar's life and Annmae's healing .  Thank you for visiting this site and for any support you may offer to this much loved family.
