Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We wanted one place where information could be released to family and friends so you didnt have to search all over for info. Thank you for all the support and love you have already provided. We wouldnt be getting thru this without you. Love to all of you!

Background story:
On July 23rd 2018 our lives were changed for the better by the arrival of our beautiful daughter Alice. 7 short weeks later Annie had to return to work. 2 weeks later she was sidelined one Saturday by an all day ER visit where she found out she had gallstones and needed her gallbladder removed. A few days later on Wednesday, Annie had a successful lap chole procedure. A few more days later on Sunday, Annie woke up to moderate abdominal pain that within a few hours became severe. It got to the point where she was about to pass out, so Matt and her mom Lynda drove her to the ER while the Johnstons came over to watch Alice. The ER visit became a hospital admission and since September 30th Annie has been a patient at her hospital. Many tests/procedures/labs have been done. A team of doctors has been assigned to her daily. Yet, despite the CT/MRI and countless labs no answers have been yielded and her stay lengthens. The Doctors have called her ‘a mystery’, ‘a challenge’, ‘a unicorn’ and told her theyre ‘chasing zebras’ to figure out a diagnosis and source of all this pain.
Everyday usually 2x a day the acute pain returns to the point she cannot be touched or even hold her baby.
Its been friatrating for multiple reasons but we keep pushing thru. Annie was so sick her milk almost dried up but thanks to her moms help with pumping and Matt and his family physically bringing up Alice, she is now getting some volume as she pumps. Its just very hard for her to be away from Alice and Matt. And its hard being here a week and not seeming to be any closer to getting a diagnosis or answer.

If you are able to, if you click on the ways to help button there is a link to a gofundme page to help out with annies many medical bills. If you cant donate money prayers are appreciated too!

Thank you for taking the time to read this and care about us!
