Annie's story began January 7th when she fell at work and while having some routine x-rays to look for fractures it was discovered that she had pneumonia.  Annie was treated for pneumonia, as her symptoms worsened and with further evaluation it was found that she had lung cancer.  To date it is labeled non small cell lung cancer stage 3 B or C (not yet determined), subtype is (adenocarcinoma) which was determined by initial biopsy.

Over the past 2 weeks she has undergone multiple testing, exams and scans.  At this time the PET-CT determined no metastasis but there is need for further evaluation (biopsy).

Annie's symptoms began a year ago with shortness of breath and assumed it was from wearing a mask. Currently she is continued to experience shortness of breath and has a mild cough with occasional chest pain.
Her stamina is good and she continues to exercise daily, walking 2-3 miles most days with her dogs, Sydney and Mahala.  She has even been cross country skiing last weekend with her dear friend Kelly (boy), not this Kelly, I'm Kelly (girl) in Annie's life.

Most of you are aware that Annie is an oncology nurse who is surrounding by an amazing oncology team who she is looking to for guidance moving forward.

Currently is it recommended that she receive care at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

Annie or I will be providing updates as this journey unfolds and of course we wish Annie love and strength as she goes through this.
