Annie Clausen

After a routine ultrasound during the early weeks of Annie's second pregnancy, her doctor discovered an abnormal mass growing on her left ovary. A  few weeks of monitoring it closely revealed that it was growing very rapidly, and a specialist decided that it needed to be removed immediately. The tumor was removed and the pathology report came back - it was cancer- cancer that didn't originate in her ovary, but instead her gut.  A colonoscopy was then scheduled and later confirmed that it was Stage 4 colon cancer.  The tumor and part of her colon were successfully removed, but Annie will be undergoing chemo treatments for the next six months while she fights (and wins!!) this battle during her pregnancy. 


There has been an outpouring of support for Annie, her husband Rick, and their 17-month-old darling baby girl, Quinn, so we are using this site to keep all of their family, friends and supporters updated in one place along this journey. They really appreciate all your love and support.
