Ann Fier is the most kindest, loving, and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother.  She is loved by so many people.  Ann is the hardest working person and has not slowed down at the age of 81.  She sustained a devastating injury on Friday, October 13 mid morning.  She was working at her part time job as at tree nursery.  She had been plowing with a tractor.    Ann was found lying on gravel and she had been run over by the tractor wheel across the chest.  She was airlifted to Avera in Sioux Falls where she is fighting for her life.  She has broken collar bones, numerous broken ribs, bilateral pneumothorax with chest tubes, a spleen laceration, a broken pelvis, and has required medications to keep her blood pressure at a level that can perfuse her body.  It is now Monday, October 16 that I am writing this and she was not expected to survive this long.  We welcome any warm wishes and prayers that you can send to my grandma, Ann.  She is a fighter and she has beat the odds so far, but has a long road ahead of her.
