Hello family & friends, first and foremost I want to thank everyone that has been praying for me since this journey began. The out-pour of love, hope, and well wishes we have received from so many people has been incredible. Your random acts of kindness in the form of showering me with brownies, bras, an appointment binder, gift cards and a dedicated worship and prayer night has truly been a blessing. I wanted to extend my gratitude personally, by saying that each of you have shown love to us well!

Our worlds turned upside down the day I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. As many of you know that while waiting for my results, Antonio my son, graduated from Houston Baptist University. I am so proud of him and all of his hard work! Thank you for joining us to celebrate his huge accomplishment by participating in his graduation parade. We had a blast talking to everyone on the Facebook live stream before the festivities began. We enjoyed connecting with each one of you guys and wanted you to know our cup has overflowed with everyone's love and generosity.

From the beginning  I have seen and sensed the Lord's presence in each and every moment. My breast surgeon is a believer and loves Jesus Christ as much as I do!  As many of you know, to have an individual on my team of doctors who shares my faith means so much to me. At the end of my first appointment, she got on her knees and  prayed for me and my journey ahead.   Although things have been moving quickly, God has made a way for me to receive treatment at MD Anderson. This is very exciting because it's one of the best places to receive cancer treatment at this moment in time.  Doctors appointments are being scheduled at a speed and ease that we can only associate with the Lord.  What that means is that my appointments these past few weeks that the doctors have ordered, is being done with Gods diligence and control.

Lastly I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude for my Aunt Sofia who has been available and willing to help me navigate through all of my appointments, questions, early phone calls and so much more!

Most importantly please continue to send your hopes, thoughts, prayers via phone calls, text messages, email etc.  Your words bring us joy, hope and comfort. Do not worry about intruding or interrupting. If it is not a good time or we are unavailable we will let you know.  We appreciate your intent to respect our schedule and how I may be feeling, but we need each and every one of you. God has blessed us with you, your love, and all the memories we have shared together which is what I will hang onto during this time. Thank you, and welcome to my journey as a Breast Cancer fighter via CaringBridge.org
