In short, Josh is presently ill and has been going through a lot. He had really not been feeling well for a few weeks and checked himself into Mount Sinai's ER on Sat., Dec 12. Since being there, he has now been diagnosed with non small cell Lung Cancer (as a non-smoker). Josh has had on and off breathing problems since having COVID in March and is currently on oxygen in the hospital. He has had multiple fluid drainages occur in the last 2 1/2 weeks.
Josh's wife Anne and he appreciate all the words and texts of support from family and friends. What is most needed now -- some practical help with odds and ends. With Josh not home for a bit, help with some of the more basic things (Who is a good cleaning person for hire?, Would someone be willing to organize a Meal Train if/when needed?, Could someone watch the kids for a few hours so that Anne can be at the hospital?)
Update: Chemo started on Tuesday and so far, so good. Should be starting targeted pill treatment on 12/31 or 1/1. Some point soon, will be moved.to the oncology unit for more focused care.
