Ann Dammermann

On Wednesday, March 22nd, Ann was on her way to an appointment at the Mayo Clinic, to receive an injection for the back issues she had been suffering from.  While in route to the clinic she started showing signs of a stroke.  Immediately, she was taken in for an evaluation where they indeed confirmed it was a stroke.  She had a CT scan to confirm the location of the clot.  She was brought into surgery where they performed an angiogram.  Due to the weakness of her carotid arteries, they were unable to get to her brain and to the clot.  This was considered a massive stroke and she is in critical condition at Saint Mary's hospital, at Mayo. Family is with her, by her bedside and continue to help keep her comfortable.  She is unable to communicate because of the breathing tube in her throat (she had a reaction to the medicine/surgery).  We remain positive and hopeful.  She has taught us to love and pray, and so we will continue to do that for her.  She is surrounded by her family and you can see in her eyes, that gives her great peace.  The entire Dammermann family is grateful for the prayer chains, messages, and words of hope.  Please continue to lift Ann up in your prayers and we will update as we find more out about her condition.
