Welcome to our CaringBridge website for my mom, Ann Boone. We will use this site to update friends and family on Mom's status as she takes on her battle against Multiple Myeloma. Feel free to sign our guest book and let Mom know you're thinking about her. She loves to hear from her loved ones! 


Mom was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in December of 2020. The diagnosis came as a shock because Mom's sister, Diane, battled this same rare cancer. Throughout her journey, Diane conducted extensive research to find the best of the best doctors to treat her cancer. Her research eventually led her to Dr. Barlogie, who proved to be a blessing. Dr. Barlogie specializes in the treatment of Multiple Myeloma and started the Multiple Myeloma Institute in Little Rock, Arkansas. His groundbreaking research on this disease made his group known throughout the world. Through the grace of God and the help of Dr. Barlogie, Diane beat the odds and survived for eleven years. I can already see that my Mom shares the same strength and devotion that my Aunt Diane had as she has begun her own battle. 


In the face of hardship, we have been able to find miniature blessings here and there. One being that Diane paved the way for my Mom's battle. With the help of David, Mom's nephew, Mom was immediately able to get in contact with Dr. Barlogie and create a plan for treatment. Mom has a long battle ahead of her, but I have no doubt in my mind that she will handle it with the utmost grace...and lots of spice.
