On Oct 17 Anna was hit head-on on her way home from work and critically injured. She was transported to Salem Hospital where the caring staff stabilized her for transported up to Legacy Emanuel in Portland where she was admitted to the NTICU. Her pelvis is broken in 5 places, she has multiple compound fractures to both legs, a shattered heel, broken/dislocated patella, sternum, clavicle, multiple broken ribs, and fractured vertebrae. Her spleen, liver & kidneys all suffered lacerations and her lungs are bruised which require her to be on a ventilator. Anna has a long road ahead of her with multiple surgeries and rehabilitation, but with the skilled help from the doctors, nurses and surgeons at Legacy we hope to have our Anna back with her little girl and continue planning her wedding with Caleb.
