Anna Eleftheriou

Welcome to Anna's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. (Yes, it probably should've been set up weeks ago. The webmaster is a real procrastinator...)

Anna was diagnosed with cirrhosis in Feb. and learned soon after that she would need a transplant. After about a million tests and medical visits, she was admitted to the ICU at Keck USC on July 29. On Aug. 31, one day before her 69th birthday, she was fortunate enough to get a matching donor.

After more time in ICU and the transplant unit, she is in the recovery unit. It is not easy going with daily physical and occupational therapy, but as you probably know, she's not one to give up. Still, it's a long process and hearing from loved ones, even just a short message or a photo, is very much appreciated.

We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
