Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.
Anna was born with cranial nerve palsy...basically the left side of her face is paralyzed.  Last July 2015 we had our first surgery to give Anna a "new smile" and better quality of life.  At that time our plastic surgery team at Mayo Clinic removed nerves from the back of both legs and cross face grafted them to the left side of her face.  For 9 months we had healing and letting the nerves regenerate.  She now is again at the Mayo Clinic for the final surgery of removing the gracilis muscle of her right thigh and putting it into the left side of her face and attaching blood supply and the newly regenerated nerves.  This is our "little Trooper"s journey!

CaringBridge is a nonprofit social network dedicated to helping family and friends communicate with and support loved ones during a health journey. Learn more about CaringBridge.
