On Sunday December 19, my mom was expecting company and an iced coffee for breakfast with 2 of her grand babies. She loves her coffees, church and grand babies so when she did not respond to my texts or calls I went to check on her and bring her to church. In an instant our lives were turned upside down. My mom was found sitting on her floor in a confused state, and unaware of how serious her condition was. We called an ambulance right away and got her into the ER at Sanford Bismarck. After a quick CT scan it was revealed that she had a large tumor with a cyst attached to it that was putting pressure on the brain stem and hypothalamus of the brain. Over the past 2 months mom has missed a significant amount of work due to headaches, has been forgetful, and most recently been very confused about who she is with and where she is at. The location of the tumor is a clear explanation of the decline in her health both mentally and physically.    She was told this would require surgery right away and then was air flighted to Sanford Fargo. She is scheduled to undergo surgery on Thursday December 23rd.
