Anita Bruno

Many of you have received this news and some have not. We have sent out a series of emails in effort to notify everyone about what was going on, but it has been challenging to continue updates. We wanted to make things easier by setting up this CaringBridge site. 

Through a series of mammograms and biopsies a medium grade cancer was discovered in Anita's left breast.  On Wednesday April 27th she had a Lumpectomy to remove the cluster of cells (approximately 1" in length) and also had a biopsy of the nearest lymph node. Unfortunately, Anita will have to go back in for another Lumpectomy on May 27th to remove more cells. This is considered Ductile Carcinoma in Situ. 

Thank you for all of the love and support. We created this page to filter some of the messages away from Anita . We are hoping this will be an easier way to keep everyone informed. Our sincerest of thanks to those who have already helped with meals and notes of encouragement during the days of the first surgery and the remainder of that week and weekend.
