ANDY NEEDS YOUR PRAYERS

On Tuesday, January 12th, Andy was admitted to Lehigh Valley Hospital with shortness of breath. Overnight, a blood clot was discovered that resulted in a pulmonary embolism in his lung and, eventually the stress the clot was placing on the heart caused a heart attack. After substantial effort, the medical staff at Lehigh Valley Hospital were able re-establish a pulse and ultimately put Andy on an ECMO (ExtraCorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) machine to support his heart and lung function.  His body was also cooled and he was put into a medically-paralyzed state to minimize his need for oxygen and allow the body to attempt to heal. 

At the time his odds for survival were not positive, but as usual, he's had something to say about that. His wife, Ann, with his sons, Andy Jr. and Jeff, have been with him daily, filled with hope, as his condition is managed by his outstanding and caring medical team.
