People have asked..."how did you know?" Here's the short story: After a couple of days complaining of stomach pain I took Andrew to his pediatrician. He was tired and didn't feel like eating. The doctor pushed on his belly and around his back. She didn't think it was appendicitis and needed more info; she wanted to test his pee. We had never done that before so I went in to help him. Shockingly it came out pink. The analysis showed high white blood cell count and blood. Thankfully our Doctor told us we needed to go to the ER for complete blood work. That was Wednesday February 3.
We spent a confusing and scary 2 days in the ER then ICU with poor tired Andrew being poked prodded stuck and carried around the hospital for various tests and biopsies. Finally a diagnosis - Andrew has T-cell ALL leukemia
