**His story:
We wanted to let you know of some sad news. Andrew was taken to the hospital four weeks ago and was diagnosed with acute alcoholic hepatitis. While there he also got C-Dif.  They were treating that as well as the liver and kidneys. At one point his numbers were getting better. He was there about a week and a half before the hospital was allowing visitors due to Covid. After 15 days in the hospital, he was sent home. He returned to the hospital a week later with labored breathing and pain in his stomach. He had had fluid taken from his abdomen during the first hospital stay and  then again after he was admitted this time. His kidney and liver numbers got worse. He had neuropathy in his feet, edema in his legs, slight pneumonia and extremely yellow color all over.

On Sunday morning Rob and we talked to each dr as they came in.  Andrew was still receiving aggressive care for his liver and kidneys. Unfortunately, his numbers continued to decline. Rob and we talked to hospitalists, the GI nurse practitioner and GI drs, the chaplain, the palliative care dr. and hospice team rep. Andrew wanted to go home and we set it up for March 2. It didn't work that way.  Andrew was not strong enough to go home and his care needed to be managed at the hospital.

On March 3, 2022, Andrew was officially declared a resident of heaven. A celebration of his life will be held in a couple of weeks.

Please pray for our family and for Rob In this new journey without Andrew.
