Hello friends and family. I wanted to create a page in order to keep everyone informed of Amy's progress as we embark on a long journey to recovery and wellness. Please feel free to send your love and thoughts to Amy. When I visit, I will read them to her so that she knows how much love and support is out there! As many of you know and have heard, Amy was admitted to the hospital on Monday as she was feeling really ill. Upon arrival, Amy's condition deteriorated rapidly and she was placed on a ventilator in ICU. She has now been diagnosed with "wet lung", also known as Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. There is a long recovery process associated with this, and we expect that she will be in the hospital for quite some time. In addition to ARDS, she is having complications with kidney function and low blood pressure. The Dr's are great and assure us that everything is being done to help her heal. With their care and your prayers, Amy will overcome this!
