Hello friends. Many of you know that I have struggled for quite a few years with osteoarthritis of the right hip, which has continued to worsen over time and affects me on a daily basis. This past year, my condition has gotten to the point where the pain and limping is barely eased with exercise or medication. Last spring I decided to pursue having surgery and the time is finally now! My total anterior hip replacement is Monday, Sept. 19.

All things going well, the surgery should last under two hours and I should be able to go home the same day. I will do physical therapy a few times a week for 5-6 weeks. My doctor predicts that I should be on a walker for the first two weeks and then graduate to a cane. Hopefully, I should be able to drive after two weeks.

Prayers coveted and greatly appreciated for a smooth procedure, minimal post-op pain, and freedom from infection. Prayers also for Michael, who will be caring for me during t recovery.

Thank you for your love and support. I will try to keep y’all updated as my recovery progresses.
