Amy has worked in the Bentonville school district for 13 years. She has been a Kindergarten and Third Grade teacher at Apple Glen and is currently a Kindergarten teacher at Sugar Creek Elementary. Amy and Brian live in Bentonville with their two beloved dogs, Rudy and Baxter. They both have grown up in Northwest AR and have many friends and family in the area.

Amy was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 Ovarian cancer which was discovered during a hysterectomy to remove what they thought was a fibroid tumor. She is recovering well from surgery and has already begun her weekly chemotherapy treatments. If you would like to follow Amy's journey we will be posting weekly updates on her CaringBridge site where she can enjoy your comments, encouragement  and messages.  Your desire and enquiries about help are greatly appreciated and needed,  as always the most important thing is lots of prayer on her behalf. Amy has special dietary needs to help her through her treatments so the best ways for you to help are through giftcards or a GoFundMe account which has been set up in her name.

Your support, love and encouragement through this difficult journey are greatly needed and appreciated. Amy wants to return to teaching as soon as possible because as always her concern are for her students and loved ones.
